This standard is developed to implement laws and regulations such as the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution and the Regulations on the Safety and Protection of Radioactive Isotopes and Radiation Devices, to safeguard human health, protect the ecological environment, and standardize radiation safety in nuclear medicine. This standard specifies radiation protection and safety requirements for nuclear medicine, including general principles, site selection and layout, radiation safety and protection in the workplace, radioactive waste management, radiation monitoring, etc. Appendix A to C of this standard is informational appendix. This standard is the first release.
